This document summarizes the inspection and quality requirements in the IRC, IBC, and ANSI/TPI 1. It also provides recommendations for in-plant special inspections when required by the building code and local jurisdiction having authority. This information is provided to assist building officials, building designers, and component manufacturers understand the quality and inspection requirements, and to assist building designers prepare special inspection requirements in the construction documents.
